The 2011 New Zealand Freestyle Nationals were once again held in Auckland with fantastic conditions and a strong group of entries -
Fanatic rider Tim Haxell finished 1st! Tim is 22 years old and has been a sponsored rider with Wild Winds (Fanatic NZ) for about three years now.
Tim Haxel: "The 9 hour drive to from Wellington to Auckland left me feeling a little worn out but after a few coffees I finally managed to get into the swing of things on my new Fanatic 99 Skate. New Zealand has a relativley small freestyle communitiy so I knew who I was up against. My main rival was last years national champ Thomas Davies who had also just picked up his new Fanatic 99 Skate from the shop so it was all on! In the final against Thomas I landed most of the moves in my trickbook that helped me seal the deal and bring the trophy home to Wellington!"
Results:
1. Tim Haxell (Fanatic)
2. Thomas Davies (Fanatic)
